Cactus Garage Door Repair wants every customer to be able to use this website — including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. A garage door emergency is stressful enough without a website getting in the way.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA — the standard commonly referenced in relation to the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What we have done

Every text and background colour combination is checked by computation against the WCAG AA contrast minimum, rather than judged by eye.

The site can be operated by keyboard alone, and focused elements show a clear visible outline.

Headings follow a logical order and every page has exactly one main heading.

Images that carry meaning have alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.

Form fields have real associated labels rather than placeholder text alone, and errors are announced.

Motion and animation switch off automatically for anyone whose device requests reduced motion.

Page content does not depend on JavaScript to be readable — if scripts fail, the text is still there.

The site reflows for small screens and magnification without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

The embedded Google Map on our service-area pages is a third-party component whose accessibility we do not control. Everything it conveys — our locations, addresses and the areas we cover — is also written out as text on the same page.
